
Many people easily gain 5-10 pounds over this time and I think the majority of that comes this last 2 weeks of December. I guess the mindset is that you can let everything slide now since once New Year's comes you'll get right back on track.
I have to tell you though, that letting things go and gaining 5+ pounds over the next 2 weeks is going to put a dent in your weight loss process. The reason being that you will have to spend January losing that last 5 pounds you gained before you can even start on the new weight you want to lose.
This is why I urge you to stay the course and only indulge during a few special occasions such as at Christmas dinner and New Year's Eve. The rest of the time avoid the excess food and drinks - you'll be happy you did come January 2nd!
